Jean Bottex
Founder | Bottex Realty Group

To expand access to safe, quality housing while investing in the long-term stability and growth of the communities we serve.

Jean Bottex, a native of Brooklyn, New York, has been a business owner and barber in Atlanta, Georgia since 2001. Over the years, he built more than a business—he established a trusted community presence. Through his barbershop, he created a space centered on mentorship, conversation, and connection, offering financial literacy education, youth engagement, and consistent support for local families through initiatives such as back-to-school drives, coat drives, and free services.

His work has always been rooted in access, dignity, and opportunity.

In 2020, Jean expanded that mission into real estate development, beginning with his first renovation project in Atlanta. That property has since provided quality housing for multiple families, setting the foundation for a broader vision centered on long-term ownership and community stability.

He later expanded into Detroit, where he acquired and revitalized residential property while strategically assembling multiple adjacent lots for future development. These efforts reflect a focused approach to reinvesting in underutilized areas and creating opportunities for growth within historically overlooked neighborhoods.

Continuing his work in Atlanta, Jean completed an additional residential renovation designed to provide modern, reliable housing options for working families. Each project reflects his commitment to thoughtful development that prioritizes both quality and long-term value.

Jean’s approach to development is guided by a clear set of principles: long-term ownership, affordable housing for working families, strategic reinvestment, and collaboration with community stakeholders and local municipalities. His work bridges small business leadership, grassroots community engagement, and real estate development—creating a model that is both sustainable and community-centered.

Looking ahead, Jean is actively pursuing the acquisition and development of additional land in Detroit, with a focus on building quality, affordable housing at scale. He is seeking public-private partnerships, city-backed initiatives, and aligned investors to support continued growth and expand access to safe, stable housing.
